The Wine Industry Network for Expertise and Technology (Winetech) coordinates research, training and technology transfer in the wine industry. It encourages the production of quality wines and other grape-based products through the application of environmentally friendly and best technologies. It supports training and education at all levels, including the development of resource poor and previously disadvantage producers.

Mission of Winetech

To provide the South African Wine Industry with a sustainable basis of forefront technology and human resources in order to strengthen both local and international competitiveness and profitability.

Winetech Research Output Database

Winetech in collaboration with the SAWIS Wine Industry Library set up a Database of all completed and current projects that was funded by Winetech since 1999. The database is available for free on the SAWIS Industry Library website at www.sawis.co.za/winetech.php.

Winetech Technical Articles (Wynboer)

Articles based on Winetech funded research are published in Wineland Magazine (Wynboer) on a monthly basis. Current and archived articles since January 1999 is available on the website www.wineland.co.za/www.wynboer.co.za. A search function is also available on this site.
